You can use this area to describe the property for sale
Built in 1996 on two adjoining
acres, the front acre buffers the home from
traffic, dust and visibility from Hazel Lake Drive.
The home has approximately 5,000 sf of
finished living area. There are four/five
bedrooms, 6 baths, and a two car heated
garage.
This is a hand-scribed, Engleman Spruce log
home with chinking inside and out. It is as
authentic as you can get.
This home is fitted with four phone lines,
including DSL, four tv hookups, Dish network
with three dish receivers and East/West/Denver
reception.
The Kitchen has granite countertops and back-
splashes, Subzero stainless refrigerator, Dacor
42" cooktop, and 30" Dacor double ovens with
one a convection. The 7 x 10 foot island is also
covered in granite. The stainless Asko
dishwasher is so quiet you can't tell it's running.
There is an island stainless Kohler sink with
disposal, a Kohler stainless triple bowl main sink
with disposal, a built-in microwave, tv, desk area
and custom oak cabinets with under-counter
lighting.
The adjoining butler pantry has an Asko
washer/dryer under the granite countertops.
There is a Kohler deep sink with disposal and
matching custom oak cabinets with
under-counter lighting.
The dining room includes a built-in hutch with a
window seat. The hutch shelves are back-lit.
The entire first floor is oak hardwood, with a
light natural finish.
The powder room is located under the stairway
to the upstairs. A Kohler pedestal sink and
mirror are across from the matching Kohler toilet.
Tumbled travertine wainscoting dresses the two
walls that aren't log. Heavy texture has been
applied to the drywall areas. A solid oak door
matches the front door with arched top.
Upstairs you find the office next to the media
room, with surround sound wired in. There is a
balcony off that room with green powder coated
railing.
The library wall with piano opening, includes
built-in bookcases in oak, on the oak hardwood
floor. Notice the custom metal railing in bronze
color which lines the staircase and loft edge.
The indoor and outdoor metal railing was designed by
Vernon and are powder coated. The log stairway inside has no
exposed fasteners. There is oak hardwood throughout the
main 2000 sf and upstairs by the library/piano area. We used
60 oz. sage green carpet in the guest bedrooms and
office/media room. We have Hunter Douglas window coverings
and an extra new set stored in the basement. Four custom
caribou sconces decorate the entryway and living room.
The Century fireplace is vented into the main trunk line of the
Trane furnace vents throughout the house. The heat from a fire
is forced through the vents with the furnace fan on and provides
heat thanks to the fireplace. There are two 1,000 gallon buried
propane storage tanks on
the North side of the
garage. Two 500 gallon
gasoline storage tanks
are in the driveway, one
unleaded and one is
diesel. We have a pro-
pane radiant heater in
the garage on thermo-
stat. A 1/2 bath in the
garage is convenient
when working outside.
27 x 8 storage room
under the garage for
four-wheelers in winter.
Hot water heater for the
garage/guest quarters
is also located there.
The Trane furnace in the
main home is the largest
residential size. The
Trane furnace in the
garage/guest quarters is
located in the garage area.
The master bedroom is 18 x 18, full log walls, 10' ceiling. Oak hardwood floor
works well with rugs under the traffic areas. TV hookup opposite the bed provides
a place for a wall unit with television with its own receiver, independent of other
televisions in the home. Phone hookup next to bed. Six foot double atrium door
extends out to the front wrap-around porch. Perfect spot for a hot tub.
The Master bath has a 6 x 6 glass block radius shower and a Jacuzzi in the corner.
Custom oak vanity with Kohler sink mounted above the marble travertine base.
Double medicine closets are extremely useable and convenient. Adjoining closet
between bedroom and bathroom with built-ins.
The 10 x 10 guest bath upstairs has clawfoot tub, Kohler neo-angle shower, pedestal
sink and matching toilet. An oak raised panel wall is behind the sink. There is a solid
oak raised panel door that matches the one on the powder room.
The furniture, which was purchased specifically for this home, can be purchased
separately, including the 50" Pioneer tv and surround sound system.
The master bedroom is 18 x 18 with a 10'
high ceiling. Double atrium doors open onto
the front deck. Satellite tv feed enters the
room across from the bed. Phone jack next
to bedside. Hardwood floors continue from
the living room.
The master bath includes a Jacuzzi corner
tub which is jetted. A custom oak vanity has
two large medicine cabinets next to the
mirror. Measuring 10 x 18, it accomodates
the glass block shower perfectly. Kohler
faucets, sink, and toilet match in biscuit color.
The 10' ceiling and oak floor make a cozy
bathroom.
The dining room has an oak window seat/hutch
with storage for display of prized serving dishes.
A chandelier hangs from the 10' ceiling. An atrium
door opens onto the back porch which is 14 x 40.
The oak hardwood continues from the living room.
